Herzliya: A Penthouse Merging the Dialogue Between Interior Design and the Blue Horizon

Location: Herzliya
Property Type: Duplex Penthouse
Interior Design: Liad Tuina
Photography: Amit Geron

In this unique project in Herzliya, we planned the outdoor spaces of a duplex penthouse serving as a vacation apartment for a family visiting Israel several times a year, while creating harmonic continuity between the interior design and the exterior spaces, turning the balconies into a natural extension of the living space, and emphasizing the direct connection between the home and the horizontal expanse.

The work process was carried out in full synergy with interior designer Liad Tuina, with the aim of preserving the apartment’s most valuable asset, the open panoramic view to the sea, while simultaneously creating a sense of intimacy and privacy facing the adjacent buildings.

On the western side, we chose low, clean, and minimalist vegetation, whereas at the meeting points with the neighbors, we integrated higher and denser vegetation, creating a green and isolating buffer without compromising the sense of space and openness.

Considering the proximity to the coastline, we chose vegetation particularly resistant to extreme conditions of salt spray and sea winds, ensuring a fresh, vital, and well-maintained appearance even during periods when the apartment remains empty for a long time.
