In a quiet neighborhood in Tel Aviv, we accompanied a family who chose to make a fundamental change in their lifestyle. A bold planning decision shifted the heart of the home to the upper floor, transforming an underutilized terrace into the vibrant center of daily life.

The terrace was designed as a direct and natural extension of the living room, creating a generous outdoor hosting area – nearly twice the size of the interior space. The use of lush tropical planting forms a rich green envelope that evokes the atmosphere of a Thai resort, offering a sense of escape, calm, and vacation in the heart of the city.

The existing deck floor was renewed and painted in a clean white tone, enhancing the presence of the greenery and giving the space a precise, contemporary character. The variety of seating areas – from a central dining table to relaxed lounges and swings- invites effortless enjoyment of the outdoor space throughout the day.
