In the heart of the pastoral Neve Tzedek neighborhood, we created for a family who relocated from southern France a green corner of serenity, providing the feeling of a home with a garden within a dense urban environment. For the family members, who were accustomed to the green open spaces of France, the balcony was not merely an addition to the home but a central reason for choosing it.
We designed a rich plant envelope that serves as a natural buffer from neighbors and the city’s pace, instilling a sense of privacy, quiet, and calm, while simultaneously integrating fruit-bearing trees on the balcony that provide an aesthetic, agricultural experience.
The planning was carried out in close collaboration with interior designer Guido Hershaga, with the aim that the outdoor space would serve as a natural continuation of the meticulous interior design, while fully adapting to the coastal environment through the selection of vegetation resistant to salt spray and the unique climatic conditions of the area.
Every material and design choice on the balcony was intended to enhance the feeling of a private resort and to bring deep greenery into the interior spaces of the home.
